Willie McCovey played MLB for mostly the San Francisco Giants. He played left handed at first base. He played his first major league game in 1959. In 1962 the Giants went to the World Series.

In 1974 he went to the Padres and then in 76 the Oakland A's. Finally in 1977 he returned the Giants to finish out his career. Throughout his career he hit 17 grand slams. He was elected into the Hall of Fame in 1986.
