Frank Robinson Vintage Baseball Bats
Frank Robinson was born in 1935 in Texas. Robinson went to high school in Oakland and went to college at Xavier. He started his career as a Cincinnati Red. He was named Rookie of the year in 1956. In 1961 the reds went to the World Series and the same year he won the MVP award.
In 1966 Reds Owner Bill Dewitt decided to trade Robinson to the Orioles. The trade did not sit well with Reds fans. Dewitt explained that Robinson was past his prime and getting holder. But in his first year Robinson won the Triple Crown. Finally in 1966 Robinson won a championship. In 1970 the Orioles met Robinson's old team the Reds in the World Series. Baltimore won.
